Tim Kilby is truly the nation's leading expert in historic log home construction and history. Through Tim's meticulous efforts, this "museum quality log home" honors the original character of Manchester's Henry Avenue Historic District. Tim's attention to detail and devotion to preservations allowed for all hewn rafters, hewn 2nd floor boards and joist, 4 original window frames and chinking dated 1827 to remain a part of the log home. Aside from new sills and log sleepers, the remainder of the structure is original and a beautiful piece of workmanship, a true testimony to this Country Gentleman's skill and dedication. I feel fortunate that our paths crossed as I consider Tim a great friend.

After years of research and combing every article and publication written regarding the historic site, The Pelster House Barn, we thought we understood the architectural history of the building.  However, Tim Kilby's tour of the building revealed a wealth of information that only someone with his experience and knowledge would be able to give us.

Lita and I want to thank you for the absolutely outstanding job you did on the relocation and reconstruction of our 1890 vintage log cabin.  The results were superb.  The people who worked for you were excellent.  You were very easy to work with on the entire job from start to finish.
We were very impressed with your overall workmanship and careful management, including the orderly building site, on the project over six months, and we are very satisfied what the results were in line with both our quality and cost expectations...
